One Piece, one of the most famous anime

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It was published in serial form in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha since July 1997 and has been collected in 87 volumes. In One Piece, we follow the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a young man whose body has acquired the properties of rubber after unwittingly eating a demon fruit, and his diverse crew of pirates, named Straw Hat Pirates. For example, there is a swordsman named Roronoa Zorro whose weapon of choice is the katana. In fact, he uses three of them, which is not common. Luffy explores the ocean in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next king of the pirates.

The One Piece manga is a shonen. Shōnen is generally characterized by high-action plots involving intense battles, dramatic or comic situations, and extraordinarily powerful or talented protagonists. Shōnen manga was created in response to the lack of interest in other types of manga, such as shojo and josei. Katanas in One Piece

Katanas can be found many times in the anime One Piece. First of all, we think immediately of Zoro who never walks without his three swords. Finally, there is the Nodachi (野太刀) which is a large two-handed sword. It is a much heavier sword than the katana, less handy and requires a lot of strength to wield. Nevertheless, it is a very effective cutting weapon.
