The Katana Sensou 戦争 is a work of martial art that embodies warrior tradition with fearsome elegance.
Blade (刀身): Forged from T10 steel, the blade features a distinctive Hamon pattern, a testament to masterful heat treatment, giving the blade exceptional resilience and superior cutting ability. T10 steel is renowned for its high carbon content, which enables it to retain a sharp edge, essential for rigorous practice.
Guard (Tsuba 鍔): The zinc alloy Tsuba is a focal point of this artifact, offering strength and corrosion resistance, while bearing intricate engravings that tell tales of ancient battles.
Scabbard (Saya 鞘): The Saya, in deep black highlighted with red, is designed in wood and finished with a protective lacquer. This finish is not only aesthetically pleasing but also serves to protect the blade from the elements, preserving its quality and longevity.
Handle (Tsuka 柄): The Tsuka is wrapped in authentic red shagreen, a material renowned for its strength and grip, contrasted by traditional black cording. Copper Menuki and bamboo Mekugi add extra strength and finesse to the finishes.
The Sensou 戦争 is a piece designed for the practitioner that values function as much as form, a weapon that reflects power and precision in the art of katana wielding.
